Yeah they're illegal in aus, they have to exit behind the rear door and in most sedans this is somewhere around the middle/rear of the tyre :P

No legality issues here in the US.
And they're 1x9inches so thats what, 2.4x21.6cm or 24x216mm.
And keep in mind that behind them is 2.5 inches of pipe thats split so the exhaust is actually flowing from 2.5 and halved where the 'Y' is.
There's no restriction at all.
As for cost, the tips were 120USD, magnaflow muffler was 55USD, install was 100USD.
Total = 275USD = 365AUD
Sounds awesome, idle sounds stock, cruising makes the car stand out and turn heads. When on it... just plain mean. I did have a sound clip but it was taken with my phone and just plain sucked as it didnt pick up any bass.

At eye level you can still see the cut out, but if you're standing looking at it you cant tell. i'll get it filled in when i finally get around to doing all the body work and a respray.

yeah, i ripped the badges off in preparation for getting the car painted. wasn't that concerned about the glue as all the paint will be taken off soon anyway
and yes its a huge picture, didn't even look at the file dimensions, i whipped outside with the camera, put the photos on here and posted it up.. may need to remember to reduce the file size for next time

if you use imageshack (http://imageshack.us) for photo hosting they have an option to resize it when they save it... its really convenient :D
