91 magna TR auto.
when i drive its not going into third gear properply. it just revs. clutch? gear box?

prob the solenoids (sp) when did u last have a service for ur tranny???

not sure. what is the solenoids do?
do i need change the oil or something?

its wat helps u change the gears. go to ur local tranny service center and get a service dun to it. all that will be done is oil, tranny filter, additives and ur tranny will be smooth as. do u drive ur car normally or do u cnahge the gears urself???

If you have an auto, but also have a clutch and a gearbox, then something is seriously wrong :D

its auto. how do u mean change gears urself?
i notice for example. iam cruising at 60-70 kmh and i try to accelerate and nothing happens. it just revs and doesnt' pickup the gear.
also changing gears is jerky as hell and it goes into high rpm before it changes (i.e. >3500rpm)
so u rkn a tranny service will fix it? is that a big/expensive job?
sorry for all the noob questions
its called "flaring" you need to find a auto gearbox application chart for that box, and see what applies in third gear, which clutch/band/solenoid, to pinpoint the problem
