Hello all,
I currently have 19" on my car. With the mitsubishi standard calipers the braking is poor. I would like to know how much would it cost to do a complete change over, front and back. I am looking into larger rotors with 4 piston calipers front and back.

4 piston calipers, eh? In that case you're looking at something like swapping in the Brembos from an Evo, in which case expect to pay an easy $2500-$4000.

For about half that you can get RPWs reconditioned 2 piston calipers which will also take a larger disk.

Or source a ralliart magna or AWD magna/verada brakes.

how about upgrading to brakes from a 4wd, a mate of mine did this with his cordia getting twin piston calipers off a pajero which were the same as the sports brakes off some other mitsi car, cost him a lot less.

It's possible if they're from the same year...the 93 Pajero brakes are the same caliper that I have on my 93 TR now as the 4wd pads fit in it that are listed under pajero in the bendix/ferodo catalogues. The caliper mounting bracket may be different, however.

i'm looking into the 3000GT 4 piston brakes, they apparently bolt straight up but you need to put a spacer on.

A spacer between the wheel and hub? Illegal.

Have a chat to TZABOY about this. I think he tried and failed.

TZABOY could you check the distence on the mounting holes are they 140mm like ive been told all 3rd gens are, and when you slide the caliper onto the disc to the edge of the caliper so i know how much i have to have between the disc and the back of the spokes on the wheel.
thanks.

Later twin pot pajero calipers use the same pads as AWD/ralliart. I would be surprised if they were different. May need different mount though.

Really? I had an old Fiat that had this standard! Granted, it was a 1965 model 132 GLS...

Any sort of spacer on the wheels is illegal. You may get away with it if its an old vehicle (pre
1986 or so) or a classic vehicle.

RPW has the twin piston / 295mm brake packages as a bolt on kit in stock all the time.

We also are now producing the 284mm / single piston / slotter rotor package for the rear of magna vehicles now as well as a bolt on upgrade no messing aruond.

This basically brings the magna up to full ralliart specs front and rear, but with the added benefit of EBC pads and rotors which makes it better again.

The rear kits are around 4 weeks away from us finalising stock, we just did the first kit on my own magna and took 3/4 hour to fit the kit up. Very easy and nice improvement in braking and looks a whole lot better again.

The alternative is the Brembo 4 pot packages front and rear which are also very very good but very pricey. For anyone on the street, the twin piston package front / vented rear upgraded package is all they would ever need.

spacer = illegal and for a good reason
the spacer moves the weight out along the bolts, putting a greater torque onto them. Very bad, could end up breaking the bolts
