check for a pin hole behind the face (if the face comes off) i've had that with HU be4.
Tim
check for a pin hole reset and make sure the wires all have contact and are connected to the right ones. Other thing is to check the car is on accessories or on, and that the battery is reconnected (if it was disconnected). (obviously the car wont start if the battery is disconnected, so check that first) You'll be surprised how many people say their hu dont work when they havent even check it on accessories. Then they do and they think th hu blew up the battery or somethin stupid.

my stock deck on my ks verada does that, or if it work it cuts in and out alot, I assume its some sort of grounding wiring there?

That usually means the earth is bad. You'll find the deck is only earthed when the aerial is plugged in. This is not good and should be rectified as soon as possible.

Are you in NSW? If so you're welcome to come down here and I'll check the whole deck over for you?

i have this head unit as well, and installed it myself. i have the instruction booklet that was in english for me :) i can track it down if u want.
i know i wired it wrong first time, and then rewired it. Did u use the wiring diagram from the instructions? i assume not. this would be ur problem, coz i remember the colors not quite being what i expected them to be.
