Hey Guys

Just wondering if the manual gearbox from from a 4cyl TR/TS bolt onto a 6cyl TS motor. The reason for asking is that my TS got wiped out by a truck (bloody truck drivers:evil:) and I was thinking since the interior and engine are still fine I could buy a 4cyl manual TR/TS cheap and swap engine, interior, electrics etc over to the new body. Heres a pic of the wreck. Doesn't look that bad but it a write off.

i think the engine is a straight bolt in except for the left engine mount, you would have to get this off your car aswell, along with a decent size of the panel surrounding the engine mount.

i think so. it might not, have a talk to madmagna, he explained somethings to me

it might fit but have a different power handling limit. but the limit wouldnt be lower then the output on the v6. well that what i think.

Ok the 4 cylinder transmission cant fit the v6 engine, but i think what you are asking is can the V6 transmission and engine fit in the 4 cylinder's chasis? engine wise yes it will fit, though you will need to do abit of work. As for transmission, not entirely sure, the mounts would be slightly different i'd say.

yep it'll bolt up no worries but you'll have to change engine mount; really not worth doing all those changes when these cars are so cheap in the 1st place; pull the v6 out if its still good; slow rebuild it as hipo turbo motor while drivin new car around

I was pretty sure it doesn't fit. But I dont know too much about 4 cyls.

I do know the 5 speed on the V6 is F5M3, if it's the same as that...you're sweet.

thats what i thought and what i was told and i reckon you i would also agree with your idea of turboing it up while just buying a manual v6 tr/ts.

im unsure now; my haynes says manual transaxle is KM210 (i dont know if thats a mis print as it states for the 1st gen series magnas) model, it says carbi and efi auto have differing transaxles (carb F4A23 and efi F4A33). I cant help further

regardless, your better option is to buy a 2nd gen v6 manual, and turbo up or sell the engine from your car
