Hey all, just wondering how we'd all feel about seeing a TH magna converted into a ute.
I'm thinking about converting a TH exec (parts car) into a ute, and by ute i dont mean cab and tray, I'm thinking more along the lines of cab and tub (commodore vz ss/ falcon ba xr8) kind of style but with all the class and pizzaz that you can only find in a magna...
Shed light??? pass on ideas, all of it is welcome!
Post opinions
Ok I'm ready for all the criticism....

i think i heard of someone trying to do this in about september/november of last year.... was a sunshine coast company im pretty sure
some other guy came on here sprouting big claims of turning a magna into a Ute..
A big discussion ensued and sure enough the guy doesnt exist on the forums anymore.. He was just a smoke and mirrors guy..
Are you actually serious? Or just thinking about it..
If serious, then ill add my input.

Think the biggest issue you'll have is the drivers seat in most magnas for avg sized blokes is usually just behind the b pillar, meaning you woiuld have to make a cut 15-20cm behind the b pillar and fill that void with a 1/4 window aka commodore ute style.

Well as said by alot of other people here.. so many have been pissing in the wind about a magna ute, but if you're actually going to do it, i'd love to see it.

Wouldn't it be easier to convert a magna wagon into a ute rather than a sedan?

Yes it is possible to convert a Magna to a ute. Best base though would be a wagon. Mitsubishi looked at it and rejected it on the basis that no one in their right mind would buy a ute with less then 500kg payload, remember this was 1996/97 before Holden released the VU Commodore ute and Ford was still flogging a ute that dated back to the mid 1970s. The question is though, why bother? At the end of the day to do it properly would end up costing a fortune.
