View Full Version : XP fuel sender/volt regulator

Pleast tell me guys.. Is it a common fault with Magna tp .. that the fuel sender or and the volt regulator sometimes dont work and how can I tell which one is at fault ?? Thanks :shock:

Appreciate any help from anyone. Can not understand why it works only on ocasions, something is wrong here. Is it the sender or volt regulator or both?

Did you try connecting the resistors to test the gauge like in the email I sent. If that test is good it means the reg, wiring and gauge are ok and the sender is the problem. :D

If you need a better description, give us a yell :)

No I havent tested the Volt regulator as I dont know how to get at it. Would appreciate a more detailed discription as how to remove the instrament pannel.. But, all other gauges are working !. Also some say it cant be repared anyhow. Thank you guys youve been a great help, wish I was more technically minded !.

Have tested the sender as you said in your e mail attachments, there was no reading what so ever so I think the constant volt regulator is "dead" or of course it could be in the wiring. wherever that is. ?. Guess i'll just have to take it to an auto electrician after all ! :rant: :rant:
