Hey guys,
New to the forum, just wanted to ask a question. My '96 auto Altera V6 is making a really bad shearing sound when i turn right mostly at low speed, but its still there at higher speeds not as bad though.
Just wanting to know if anyone has experienced this before and what it may be???
any help really appreciated, cheers

Could be the wheel rubbing, could be the wheel bearing dying, could be the brake assembly rubbing, could be a worn out brake pad.
Jack up the front end, check the wheel for free play side to side and top to bottom, then take it off, check your brake pads and have a good look around for anything that looks like its rubbing. :D
Do that to both sides and do it soon as things could get nasty.
If you need more help give us a yell. :D
Oh and HI, welcome to AMC, hope you find us a great place to be :D

one of the hand brake shoes either seized half on or bearing dying. as ol' fart said, check it now, not tomorrow, tomorrow could be when your wheel falls off! lol
