There seems to be alot of exaust discussions going on, well..pretty much all the time here on AMC, but mostly for the third gens. So, Post up what youve got! pics, sound files (ooohh yeah!) specs, the full deal :D
Yes i do have a hidden motive for this..im getting my exaust done very soon and would like to see what everyone else has before i make the desicion, but I thought this could be a great opportunity for everyone to share thier setups etc.. possibly as a sticky?
SHOW US YOUR...exaust :P

I have custom extractors, 2.5" mandrel bent cat back..stock cat.
This is the only recording I have of my exhaust...not really that happy with the sound to be honest...but here it is anyway.

SideWinder,
I think I sent you my photo's & sound file to ya email
...but not 100% sure
Please let me know if I didn't.
Lukey Al4-5711 rear section + dual 3" tip. 'tis made of the LR2779 can. Takes a bit to warm up and isn't really that loud. Puts extra punch in your pants down low.

Nah, the email I sent was sent to your hotmail.com addy - I suspect the problem was that I sent it from my work email - and since then I have found that my work's email doesn't allow us to send .mp3 files.
I've tried again using my hotmail addy.

I'm looking to get an exhaust, but to tell you the truth, I don't really have a clue on what to get. Could anyone give me some ideas of what will sound really good, but on a limited budget. (I'm a poor uni student...) I'm looking to spend $400 at the most. Is it possible to get a cat-back system for that much? The TS magnas already have a 2in pipe (right?). Is there any point at all modifying it?

Well you have a couple of options you could go a lukey muffler for about $100/$150 depends where you go, or on ebay there are complete cat-back redback systems for $380+postage, I think that a few guys on here may have gotten this system, but I'm not too sure what the're opinions on it are. Here's a link anyhow...

TF Sports front dump pipe...
2 1/2" piping
hi-flow cat
and not sure what model, but TJ VRX muffler
and damn does it sound sweet up hills holding it back in 2nd (apart from when ya get carried away and find a rev limiter sometimes  )
Al3x your system looks great, and is exactly the look I wanted for mine

Nah, no audio clips. I have no sound recorder.
I notice you're in QLD. If 'QLD' = 'Brisbane', I could take you for a drive and you can hear for yourself. If not, the was an old Lukey 2nd gen clip floating about somewheres...
anyone have it? from the Lukey website I think.

ok...
in my travels today i went around and got a few quotes...seems no1 in townsville stocks lukey anymore as they are unhappy with the quality of lukey as of late...
any way...fast fit quoted me 290 for 2' sports straight through system....but to me that sounds like "well throw a straight through muffler on for ya"
hi-flow quoted me 500 for extractors, straight through muffler and a chrome tip, all fitted. will be going back tommorow to get a quote for the same thing but in 2.25" as this place seems to be the way to go. price is right and is within walking distance from work. so ill be able to park there in the morning and walk back there after work to find my baby all zorsted up :D
