I wanted to no if anyone on the formus had a an engine bebuild on TE upwards 3.0l or 3.5l V6 i wanted roughly how much it would cost. And when you get a rebuild dosent make your car a bit quicker because the bores a bit bigger or something.

The bores don't get much bigger, what they do is hone the bores to get rid of any marks, usaualy only slightly increasing the bore size if at all, so the gains are negligable

Mine's getting rebuilt at the moment, but it's a preformance oriented build up including cams and a bunch of other things so the price isn't comparable really. But basically you're looking at $3-500 for a set of pistons, rings and rods. $300 for a genuine head gasket, another couple hundred for some time with a machinest to oversize and hone the bores. And a whole whack of labour to take it apart and put it back together again. You'll pay more in labour than you will in parts. Add more if you want to reguvinate your valve train as well.
