I remember someone saying that having the correct radiator cap is important coz of the pressure inside the radiator.
Cant remember the full story...
Make sense? :doubt:

Just get a sticker made up and stick it on your radiator cap.

As for the Oil cap, should be fine.

It will do SFA to lowering operating temps.

After all, it's just a cap

The 1.3 bar is basically how much pressure it can hanlde. bar is a measure or pressure. I think off memory the standard ones are 0.9 bar.

There won't be any negative side effects, apart from people slapping you ;) :P

It means you can add more stickers on the car.

It means force fed oil and water cooling - 1.3 bar fully sic :bowrofl:

Look at it this way... if you put a higher pressure radiator cap on, you better hope that whatever is connected to the radiator can cope from then onwards... first thing that springs to mind is that the radiator hoses wont appreciate it too much... unless you go braided (kerching) lol

But yeah, who knows, it could just be a new sticker on an existing cap.

I wouldn't risk it to be honest, those caps vent for a good reason, and the overflow bottle compensates with keeping the balance... golden rule: "If it aint broke, don't fix it" :D

Changing the thermostat for change of seasons would be all that I would consider... although I am too lazy to do that anyway lol

I was contemplating buying the oil cap ages ago but didn't know if it would fit. That radiator cap looks ghey, go on ebay.com and do a search for ralli art radiator caps, some much better designs on there.

I was going to get an oil cap but they're too expensive for what they are.. you've already got a ralliart so just stick with something plain.

Made from lightweight Titanium billet and displaying RALLIART unique logo
:bowrofl: RICE!!!!
That 'titanium' oil cap should shed at least 50kg and increase your power by 500KW ;)

i just bought a 7 dollar metal oil cap that i spray painted to match the rest of my bay (pics once i get my car back on the road)

And polished down my stock radiator cap with some 2000grit paper and again painted to match the bay.

Why spend more money on what essential does the same thing as what you have when you can just spruce up what you have with a bit of elbow grease.

i've got one of those you can have for $10 chris... ie. they dont fit.

once it is fitted, it keeps tuning around and around... turn anti-clockwise even slightly and it lifts up and will fall off very easy.

would be ok for shows etc, but thats about it.

i think moparcm has one? would be interesting to see if his fits properly
