$175 from Anthony + $10 p&h. Buy from Philcom, always been good to me.
YES ........ does make a difference
i agree, my car is fairly stock (cept lowered and fat mags) but yes, it made a huge difference to the car (more then i thought it would) and for that sortta price they are well worth it.
plus they look sweet as

Yep, makes a difference!
Buy from Anthony (Philcom Rally) if you can and support a sponser.

Just out of interest, what sort of difference are we talking here?

better turn in, and the car sits alot 'flatter' (when cornering)

I put on a strut brace before any other suspension mods and found that it noticably "tightened" up the steering response. By that I mean that a quick movement of the steering wheel caused the vehicle to change direction with less of a delay. Then if returning to the straight ahead position again a faster response. The strut brace is a worthwhile mod, but will not reduce body roll, you need a sway bar to have that effect. That is also a worthwhile mod. Both are recommended.
Cheers.

sorry for digging up a thread but saves me writing a new one.
i just installed my strut brace and was wondering how tight do i bolt this in? i mean i tightened it fairly hard, then had a look at it again and it was starting to warp.....is that how tight i have to have it? or just "hand tight"?
also, the nuts on either side of the brace.....i need them tightened aswell ja?
just double checking!
i know its a 2nd gen, but its still a strut brace:)

I think ideally they need to be tightened to a specific torque setting with a torque wrench....
Ive heard hand tight then a few turns with a spanner should do it. Dunno what those other bolts are your refering to, warping? That doesn't sound good.....

The three nuts that hold the Front strut on should be tightened to between 40-50Nm. That's straight out of the mitsu workshop manual. As for the adjustment nuts. They are just that. don't preload the strut brace, just adjust so it fits nicely.:)
I'll be putting mine on today!

thanks for that, hopefully ill get my hands on a torque wrench soon, but i went for a drive and i notcied that the steering feels alot better, but not a MASSIVE difference.
the nuts on either side of the strut brace have been hand tightened....there is also no movement when you grab the strut brace and try to move it.
eh
