No the lowest it can go is 1.5 ohm. Umm as for power not sure about 1.8ohms but it puts out 620+WRMS at 2 ohms. This amp will surprise you with all its cool features.. if controlled fast bass hits is what you are after.. this amp hooked up to a decent sub will deliver :D

each sub requirs 500WRMS

Umm if they are rated at 3.66 they are basically 4 ohm coils. May i ask how are you going to wire them if they are DVC D-4 x2 to get a single 2 ohm load ( or 1.8 )? You will end up with a 1 ohm ( 0.8ohm ) or a 4 ohm (3.66 ohm) load for the two subs.

I think the subs would sound a lot better with one 500/1 per sub or hooked up to 1000/1 and giving that a 4ohm ( 3.66ohm ) load. Other than that i would get a Crossfire VR2000d ( $2500  but thats about the cost of 2x JL500/1) and hook it up with a 3.6ohm load for a little over 1100WRMS for the 2 subs.

Good choice in amp. I was almost tempted to buy one myself. But I decided not to spend even more $$$ on car stereo stuff.

The bloke at JB reckon i"d be able to get 700 and something Watt out of it. Someone else I knew seemed to think this would be about right. Apparently there are very underrated amps!

They also don't draw that much power considering!
