done this last week
took about an hour .
i pulled the lenses off and used a heat gun to
melt some old CDs (two together for the main beam and one by itsef for high beam)to the inside of the lens then hit them with
some black spray paint waited till they dryed and then peeled the CDs back off

its already fooled people lol

I wont go into the legal side of things, doesn't look too bad i guess, but you could have at least made them 2 round paras like on 3rd gens/bmw's.

Interesting technique... as long as you know they are now unroadworthy... but as you said, you might never get questioned.

looks alright ducko

maybe a light tint on the indicators or around the edges of em, they stand out a bit too much now that uve darkened the headlights soo much..

and yea u probably shoulda done the tint over the headlight protectors.... less permanent.

Depends which Diamante multi parabolics you get. If you get the ones that require a chrome surround like I have, then no they wont fit with the magna grille. If you get the ones that are exactly the same as KS verada ones (I got these for TZABOY, which are now in GoTRICE's car...GoTRICE, have a look at your lights and you'll see a sticker that says Diamante on them somewhere) then yes, they will fit no problem at all.

Even if you get the ones that fit with the crome surround, all you have to do is chuck them in the oven and take the glass off...then chuck your lights in the oven to take the glass off...then you put the glass from your lights onto the diamante ones and seal it all back up.

i thought parras had clear plastic lenses where mine have glass with patterns on them
and i didnt have to put mine in the oven to pull the lenses off

hey man if youre interested theres a Mass Order for parras in the other thread by me. We only need 1 more guy to complete the MO and then I can place the order. Check out some others that have already ordered from the last MO with me as their car now looks really wicked cool with them on !

The Jap Diamante lights with the crome surround have the "glass with patterns"...its just that the glass bit is a bit smaller than the Australian ones so as to accomodate the crome surround.

that looks good DUCKO
pitty the 2nd gens didnt come with black surrounds like the 1st then or even white/chomre surround that you could paint to get that dark meangy look

Ah no thats not right at all...Where did you hear that?

They are a different shape all over. They're smaller, the inner (grille side) is a different, more rounded shape. There's no way the glass from the KS paras will fit. I've had them side by side on multiple occasions...there is no way.

DUCKO

KB where did you get your diamante head lights
from and what can i expect to pay for a set??

Because I've done it. The shape of the glass parts are all different, but the back part(the actual lights) are the same size. They do clip on to each other and they will fit with a magna grille. The only way I messed up with that is I found out I actually had the US Diamante headlights instead of the Jap ones. whoops

I would not suggest getting the US Headlights like I accidentally did. We can't use them in Australia.

why not?? if aussie lenses fit on them they should be ok.

i know the only diffrence between RHD & LHD with toyota cressida headlights
is the lenses

I was told by the auto elec that it was the actual position of the lights when I went in to get them put in. But now that you said that...i think i might try to just get them wired up to check if its all good. You may be right..who knows. Then Ill get back to you and let you know if its possible.

The reason I like these lights better than the Aussie paras is because i think it looks tacky when you have plastic on the paras and the glass indicators...know what i mean? If you use the glass from your headlights with the Diamante lights...it blends with the indicators and looks like it was meant to be.
