hey guys

i bought a 2000 TH and its keyless entry remote is dead... however i have my old 1999 TH remote. they both have the same code on the back.

i was just wondering if anybody knows how to recode these things?

Do you have an Owner's manual?

argh forget it, I was going to make you read your Owner's manual, but what the hell:

Turn key from Accessories to On (NOT START) three times and then the indicators should blink advising you that you are now in programming mode.

Now you have five seconds once the indicators blink. You will need to press any of the buttons on the remote you are trying to program in, and the indicators should blink upon acknowledgement.

That's it.

no, you would need their key, and you would only be able to reprogram your remote.

my remote sometimes doesnt work and i have to reprogram it, and when i do, my fiance presses the button for her camry remote and it works!!!! the biatch! over and over, so now her remote opens both cars at once! lol

Nope. Need the key to turn the ignition... you can't "reprogram" your key.
