Do a search its been covered god knows how many times :)

The pod you have will more than likely cause problems though. you need the Mitsubishi MAF specific K&N oval pod. it comes with the adaptor. Call RPW in Perth for a price.

:stoopid: Either that or Anthony from Philcom.

Get the K&N oval pod. Anthony from philcom will get you a good price. However still keep your stock filter assembly just incase you suffer from the 'dead spot' down low like a few of us have. You may want to go back to stock.

Go to Autobarn and get the 4.5" round adaptor to suit the mitsu MAF, then use any 4.5" round pod you want. it ended up cheaper for me to do that with a Drift pod than the K&N kits. and i recon that it amplifies the sound. (like a megaphone).

You can, but expect the car to splutter and die. There's a reason why K&N made specific oval filters for the mitsu MAF sensor. The sensors don't take kindly to the airflow created by the normal round filters.

Give it a go if ya like, but just remember theres a specific filter out there made for that kind of sensor

:doubt: I think, in this “oval shape” is a lot of crap, coz inlet to the MAF sensor is already oval shape. So what a difference what shape filter is?
