Nothing yet. It is suposed to be based on the concept from last year, but specs may have changed since then!

That is one HOT looking car. If you notice, the bonnet looks similar to the TJ/KJ in respect to the two centre lines which make there way to the grill. With that nose removed which somewhat ruined the current Galant it makes a perfect looking car (btw... what does the updated r/end look like?).

That's pretty much what a 380 does look like lol. Sure it looks a little different because of the style of drawing, but convert that to a photo and you'd get a close match, maybe the yanks are copying us?

What does this concept Galant car have to do with the Australian 380 model?

The concept Galant has alot to do with the 380 as the 380 is largely based on the Galant and any changes that occur in specification to the Galant have the possibility of being changed in the 380.

Yeah you are right it just looks like a 380. hopefully Ralliart version for us next year

:bowrofl: Do you actually know anything about the 380. you say your presence on this forum is to only discuss the new 380 model. but you don't know it is base on PS41 platform shared by the US Galant, Endevour and Eclipse
Falcon Freak is leaving himself out in the opening on that one

:bowrofl: and fugly Bouley front !

The Bouley front actually looks good on the upcoming Galant. I think its the fact that they have kept it but made it left obvious by blending it into the rest of the grill.

How can the 380 be modeled off a concept car for 2007??? the 380 has already been released for a while, Anyways i like the bonnet, the rest looks like what we would do to a 380 given the cash. Bigger wheels leather interior, bodykit (well it kinda has one)

Cause the platform and body panels are basically the same !

All concept sketches seem to look good. I remember when Wheels had that huge feature on the 380, the concept sketches they showed of the US Galant looked really nice. The real thing looked fugly in comparison.

That's usually the case most of the time unfortunately :(

You guys arnt getting this are you.... the Ralliart concept is a mitsubishi galant but beefed up.. just like our magna ralliart. The galant has been out for a fair while now being that it was out well before the 380. The 380 was moddled on the galant with modifications for Australia along with other tweaks. In conclusion the 380 is moddled on the galant and the galant ralliart is just an upgraded model of a galant.
I realise most of you where being sarcastic but just incase one of you wasnt.

It's a bit tame for a Ralliart. Only 190kw, and we might not even get it.

its a nice car, but i agree 190kw is tame to have the ralliart name. if they want to compete with Ford and Holden, they did a stock engine, a performance engine and an engine that is tuned by ralliart eg. Ford's XR6's 190kw, 240kw (turbo) and 270kw(turbo by FPR) then we have Holden's SV6 with 190kw ontop of their stock V6 of 175kw, i wonder if HSV is gonna tweak and mingle with the alloytec V6.
They have to put the Ralliart brand to be a performance brand, not a 25kw gain brand. If u mention V8 along the brands of FPVs and HSVs and everyone knows there is alot of power and performance gained from the engine as well a whole new agro look to it. i'm basically saying if MMAL wants to put a recognised brand to their car badge, coz as it is, the FPV's and the HSV's are all above 200kw

I agree. 200kw should be minimum. 220kw -240kw should be tops for FWD and maybe a AWD version with 260kw - 280kw?

Your wasting your time putting anything more than 200kw through the front wheels.

Your wasting your time putting anything more than 200kw through the front wheels - you'll either spin the wheels or just have your wings clipped by the traction control. Look at all the complaints the ralliart got in manual form for wheel spin from the jurnos.

I've been working on the PS41 model longer than you think so don't get smart with me. It was a loaded question - what my question was saying is 'don't hold you breath waiting for MMAL to release a 380 version of this car'.
Clear?

There is more than one way to look at HP in a car, you look at it from the point of view of sitting at the lights waiting for green but in the automotive industry HP is a selling point.
Most people who buy high HP cars never use that grunt, it is just for show.
With the speed limits we have there is no point in these massive HP cars but they sell because of image.
