unfortunately i had to buy the manual from repco for $40. and because u realy need it. otherwise i will have to writ a 600word essay with photos. gen3's r a biatch to replace head units in. but when u buy the manual(try your library they always have falcon commodore etc manuals.....should have magnas too depends on wat library u go to). but yer u need to rip like the panels underneeth the console off and the centre console comes out....the ash tray comes out the ac controller comes out all sorts a stuff.!
hope this helps yo buddy :D

well first of all u have to do this:

once the console is removed ull be able to see the bracket where the stock HU is bolted onto. from there on its pretty easy. jus undo the bracket remove HU and install new HU with the new wiring loom. simple.

cheers guys for that, finally got it out....
but now im ****ed cos i cant figure out which wire is which.
i got all the speakers going sweet, but i dunno which wire i connect the memory, accessory and ground too. i tried trial and error but i think i ****ed a fuse or something up.
if anyone knows if the wires are the same colours for all 99ish magnas, and know which colour is what it would be a great help if you could post it up. i didnt really want to start another thread for this.

Trial and error can blow your headunit or lots of fuses..
If you have a multimeter just check each wire. If someone doesnt reply to this with an answer before i get home, ill check what colours they were for my car. (got plenty of pics)

Blue and white is power
Black and yellow is continueous power
Pink is for the power antenna
and the rest is speaker wire

An interesting side note is that your dash dimmer switch may not work after replacing the stock HU. I know ours stoped working, and Ive heard its a common problem. Its not really a big deal though.
