I ended up twisting my fuel line while trying to change my fuel filter. I didn't realise the spanner on the smaller fitting was slipping rather than turning, so turning the larger fitting on the fuel filter ended up twisting the fuel line

Here's a photo of it:

The car is running fine dispite the sharp twist. What should I do with it?

A) Leave it
B) Twist it back the other way (might cause a leak ....)
C) Cut the end off and reconnect the connection? (can that be done?????)
D) Get a professional to fix it
E) Trade up to a TL
F) Find a used fuel line somewhere

Shouldnt cost too much to get that cut and a new nut put on. The average brake place could even do it.

You've got plenty of slack in that line by the looks.

If they want too much just get that piece of line from the wreckers and swap em. I'm surprised it runs like that.

If you get a line from the wreckers, give it a good flush with metho to get rid off the gunge. It wont hurt anything if you get a little metho in the fuel. :D

Well it will teach me for thinking I could do it without lifting the Magna so I could see what was happening ....

I'm going to try a few wreckers first .... Does anyone know anything about that type of fitting? It's not just like one used for copper water pipe?
