i found that sort of hard to read.
Your 4cyl combined with auto is not a great combination, strapping on turbo's is relatively cheap but if you want to notice a difference.
cold air intake
filter from k n N
ez-boy bored out throttle body
extractors, and exhaust at about 2.22 inches
and then a chip such as haltech interceptor or greddy
*i'd also ensure sparkies are all good, just buy new leads as well for not much and get your injectors ultrasonically cleaned.
1st reality; there is not much difference in price between a 4cyl auto 2nd gen and a v6 manual so it'd be best to shop around
2nd reality; 3rd gen v6 manuals are down to 5k$ occansionally; they are alot quicker than the 2nd gens with 24v and capable of pulling 15.1's; your average ecotec commodore does 15.9's, thats quite a smashing by the way.
A happy v6 12v 2nd gen could probably go 16 flat or maybe under, but your preference; pesonally i love 2nd gens but through 12v they dont have enough top end for me, thats why going dohc conversion.
your 4cyl auto stockish would go close to 18's.
Make your own decision on what you like; it was most reasonable for me to buy (off my cousin) one of 2 te manuals for the same price as i bought my car but i love the 2nd gen; especially mine....
2c peace out;
aj
*edit* sort of missed the "running on gas" part; i dont know what you get on gas but in 3rd gen and or with chip you'll see over 700km's to a tank
