as a sketch, i dont think it looks too bad, but in real life, i think it would look a little odd on a 2nd gen. they have a very round shape, so having square cut outs and large bumpers might not be the best way to go.
i'd have a look at some of the kits available for soarers.. i think something from them could work very well.

i am aware of the amount of curves in the 2nd gen, and so i thought that if i make slight sqaure cuts wouldnt be that bad, also if i put in those indicators/reflectors like i want to then it should add a bit of a smoother look
i didnt want to make the cuts curved as i have seen this done before and it looks good, but i just dont want it.

yeah I like  buuutt, I reakon it'd look even better with a bit of a lip on the bootlid, I reakon that'd just set it off. No big wing or any thing, just the lip to give it a bit of a harder edge at the rear

front bars good; i reckon stock rear bar is perfect out of the factory but twin exhausts look sexy. Ill take a pic of my kit thingy on my pencil case that i drew over lectures at uni.... well done

personally, i'd go the KS front lights, indicators and grill instead of the diamante, but thats personal choice
its bout the bumper not the grill mate, its just personal preference.

here's my doodle... ... ... evo 5 lights moved to out side open for intake v8 supercar style; nice intercooler space for gto conversion; mmmm uni is fun.
Only other things i'd alter would be side skirts; same as stock but lower; so where rear bar ends pointing at tyre it points down to where side skirt starts.
Ps may be bad viewing as on pencil case; bar spending money on body kits when i can make it faster though.
peace out

I reakon that i prefer the new one, but i still reakon it needs a bit of shaping on the bootlid to make it a bit sharper. ie a bit of a lip

mmmhh as long as we're posting drawings i thought id make a quick sketch. Im not good enough to draw somethin specific, so heres some hybrid with 02' rex lights and a 4cyl turbo engine.

If you like that design....why not just alter a Galant VR4 front bar? shouldnt be too hard and looks pretty much exactly like that.

I like the sketches, Reminds me of a new mustang kinda look... thumbs up all the way .... actually it makes me want to do that myself  but im poor... i could try to make a 3d model using 3ds max? or you could... for a better look at what its like in 3d

i was thinkin bout that next, but year 12 gets in the way, so i might put it off for a year and if i get into uni, i'll put that off as well and spend a year working, relaxing, making 2-3 models. I might even get upto making 1 prototype. We'll have to wait and c wat happens at the end of the year.

i think that front bar looks very skyline-esque with the two lights slash holes, whatever they will be..

just throws that sorta hint at me, as well as very VR4 galant style too.. but you'd get that cause they're similar in shape etc

if your talking about the last sketch, i based it off of a R33 bodykit i saw. The circle holes would either be used for lights or maybe a place to route an intake pipe to. This why i left side holes, the centre might be for an intercooler, regardless it looks good. I was also thinkin of maybe puttin an indicator in there, but i think the height requirements for ADR might not agree with that.
Chuck - Do you have a problem with them, u kinda didnt state whether u liked it or not, maybe try putting in smilies? I didnt look at all at a galant bodykit, and if that comment is more towards the eyelids and bodykit together, i was just trying it out. The bodykit wouldnt look like any galant bodykit i've seen. :D (c the effect of smilies)

Nah man..no problems. :) (happy?) I think it looks ok. I was just lookin at a VR4 picture just before i saw your scetch tho and thought you could just mould a front bar from a vr4 to fit on the magna...the cars both look very similar and the vr4 front bar looks similar to your last scetch. I think its because the vr4 front bar has the 2 lights on either side and stuff.
Would size be a problem, I don't know if galants are smaller but they look it side by side to me. Also i rekon you should cruise some UK galant sites, you might just be able to buy an 8G Galant Super VR4 front bar or something made for the newer 2.5v6TT galants that would look the goods, save you money and a lot of time..

Whoa those sketches are superb
Would an aftermarket front bar for a galant bolt onto a second gen?

I dont think it would bolt on...but it should be easier to modify one than getting a whole new front bar made up.
