hey ppl,
jus wondering if anyone has fitted gas struts to their boot lid.
i have a 3rd gen with a spoiler, and it slams real hard when left open and there;s wind, or if i'm on an incline.
if not does anyone else find this annoying? and what can be done about it?
i have considered getting some gas struts like on the bonnet and fitting them, but i dunno bout the size. will have to see. :D

I had the same problem when doing my Boot Install. Fairfield Car Radio had a guy come and work out the pressure I need & fitted the correct struts. They are mounted to the bottom of the hinge & direct towards the front of the car but due to the Install I can't see the fitting point. I will try to check it out for you later, I think it would be easy to do yourself.

or if the sports/vrx isnt enough tension for you get the ralliart ones.. there really strong cause they have to hold the weight of the big spoiler....

i thought about doing this last night actually
also as i dont have a spoiler, it would be more for the wanker factor
so you unlock the boot and it slowly opens itself up

or in the case of the ralliart ones, if take the spoiler off the boot it springs up way way to quickly! lol
