On the weekend i went in to a store and tried a few subs out. I went in specifically to listen to a IDQ 10 that was in there, but i was surprised to hear how nice the Infinity Reference 12" sounded, especially considering the price.

I just wanna know what you guys think about the mid spec infinity subs, i cant afford the top spec ones, so i am thinking the mid spec. will it compare to the IDQ12.

I would get the IDQ 12" for sure but they are hard to get at the moment.

by the way, i did listen to these subs in my car, just off a 2x80WRMS amp though. They will be getting about 300WRMS

Infinity are nice subs. You really can't go wrong for the price.

Infinity = JBL = Harmon Kardon International.

You won't see me telling you that you are silly for considering them. In fact, Infinity is supposedly upmarket JBL units hat have been tweaked with a few extra goodies. All I can see is that they pretty up the cone a little, especialy on the splits and 6x9's.

I actually think it hurts SQ to do so, but you have found another of the Infinity/JBL caraudio bargains. Certainly a good sub with an awesome pedigree in sound.

May I ask model numbers and prices please? Just for my own interest.....
