After searching through 8 magnas at the wreckers for a new set of visors I discovered that all magna visors with vanity mirror are all distorted! Has anyone fixed their mirror or even noticed this as well? :rant:

It's a wrecker...expect easily busted things like mirrors to be stuffed...just keep looking

Just stick a new one on there? I have been told the stock one is small enough to be near useless anyway.

Try the visors from the Jap Diamante. The Mirrors are HUGE and they come with lights on either side of the mirror. Plus the drivers side gets a mirror too for all you vain drivers.

Aw man where can i find diamante vanity mirrors? Theres hardly any diamantes in Sydney I reckon i've only seen a black on in canley but thats it! :cry:

Yeah how the hell did you import it? Unless it was a personal import meaning you've lived in Japan for more than 12 months or you have a CAMS license and you got it for race/rally purposes, I can't see how you did it?

No no no...I didnt import the actual Chassis/car...just the important stuff. The 3l DOHC engine...the entire leather interior and the vanity bodykit.

Believe me...if I were able to get one I'd get the 4wd version with full leather interior, do a twin turbo conversion and chuck the vanity kit on it...as well as lowering, exhaust etc etc..
That would shock a few ppl on the road...hehe

Sign in to the Diamante Owners Group ( www.diamanteowners.com ) and post a wanted ad for sun visors (color and material prefered?) Someone will sell you them cheap... like 20 bucks for the pair plus shipping that really wouldnt be more then 20 more bucks. In total you'd be looking around 60AUD.

He would have to have proof of ownership for at least a year continuously before he could bring one in to Australia. And if your father was able to bring a car in for you from Japan...why would it be a diamante? Do you know how many great cars there are in Japan?

It'll only work if he's actually moving here.

Why get a GTO? seriously? Unless its the VR4 version its actually SLOWER then a DOHC 3.0 Diamante due to the fact they weigh a hell of a lot more.

An AWD Diamante with a 6G72DETT would be one kick ass machine and so if i had the choice of importing anything it would definately be the Diamante and then just do the motor swap or TT conversion.

Just got a friend to look around for me. It took a while to find all the parts I wanted...and I didnt think it was going to happen...but yeah...it all worked out.
