The tweeter housings that fit onto the doors that came with some VR-X's, do have the tweeter built into them? I'm just wondering if they can take my tweeters. I've got them placed up on the dash but thought I'd put them in a better location.

if the housing is there, i'd imagine the tweeter would be there also. They just clip in, so pull off the housing and have a look :) Then check if your current tweeters can fit, mine couldn't, but i kept the housing there for looks :P
goodluck.

So long as your tweaters aren't too high they'll fit in no problems. The tweater part of the boston FS-60 splits that I have have a grill on them that didn't want to come off. Consequently they don't fit in that location.
If I ever get my car back I can take some pics if you want.

I currently have the older 6.5'' Polykevelars in the front, they have the TN45 Tweeters.

I don't know how you managed to get them to fit in the sail area mounts. Perhaps you mounted them in the dash where higher spec'd Magna's have midrange drivers mounted.

I have a TH Altera. What speakers are in the dash? i thought they were the tweeters mounted in there? how do you get to them to check?

Nope, those are midranges, about 3" or thereabouts. I stuck some in my Sigma when I was able to grab a set for free... you should be able to just pull them out, nothing screwing them in there.

They are glued to the plastic panel, they look & work great.
