would u trust anywhere alse to do it???? i'm a bit scared... they wouldn't handle magnas as much as the mitsubishi dealer so i think i'll stay with them.Do they replace air filter and coolant or is it just the usual. and one more thing ... which service do they do the timing belt. think i'll have to start saving up for that one now lol
Timing belt is the 100,000 service (or closest).
I'm fairly sure the 75000 is not a major service so the air filter will just be 'cleaned' (with compressed air). Coolant will not be replaced - i'm also fairly sure this is done on the mjor service which is the same as the timing belt one.

I just paid $160 for 75 000 km service at National Capital Motors n Canberra... basically all you get is an oil change and "inspection" (but who knows if they really do it...)

IMHO your car would be worse off with a Mitsubishi dealer being worked on by trainees than what it would be with a sole, independant mechanic with access to diagnostics (ie, my mechanic)

jest do it yourself, five litres of oil and a new filter, why pay big money like $80+per hour.
Honestly.............it's no rocket science:)

As kempeowen said do it yourself :) Even if u want to do a big one and replace the majority of things it will still be lots cheaper just look below.
Oil: $25
Filter: $8
Coolant: $10
Spark Plugs: $5 (Don't do the rear bank they last till 100,000k and are platinums)
Air Filter: $20
Brake Pads: $30
P/Steer/Aircon Belt: $35
Fuel Filter: $10
TOTAL for a Big Fat DIY Service = $143
And that will keep you going strong for a long time, remember the rear bank plugs at 100k and Timing Belt....
Edit: If your like me and need a service stamp in the warranty book go to www.hotdockets.com.au look for $20 services for just the basic oil/filter change, get your book stamped and go home and do any major stuff yourself you need :D
