Hi All,

Do third gens have OBDII. If so, where is the connector located?

Also, while looking in the glove box, I noticed a little cap at the top of it. I removed the cap
and it looks like wiring for something. Anybody know what its for? Didn't want to mess with it
in case its to do with the airbags.
Ta.

Speaking of gloveboxes, do TL-TW's have Glovebox lights? i noticed mine didnt work, then i thought it didnt have one, so i open the box look up there, and there's a little Green Globe which doesnt work, does anyone else have this or know what it's for

Its that little globe just inside the entrance to the glove box. May have blown
it.

i bought the car when it was like 6 months old and still didnt work then, i got a service next week, is your glovebox light green? if so does it look good. although you hvae a KW GTVi which has footwell lights, which mine doesnt have, maybe glovebox light isnt somehow activated

was the wiring yellow or in yellow conduit? if so its for a/bags. the amgna r prewired for a few different levels of spec. my tj was wired for footwell & glove box lights. from memory i added the switch to activate the glove box light & it worked. also added globe holder for d/side footwell lamp & it worked. i had 2 patch in p/side foot well lamp. give a classy look when it all lights up. also added rear pillar lights as per veradas etc.

Mine does not light up green. Just normal incandescent bulb. Thanks for the info on the wire.
It is in a yellow conduit. Talking about lights. I really like the verada dash lights. The 3 stage
high contrast lighting.

My TL glovebox doesn't work either but I hooked the globe up to the battery and it worked so the wiring is stuffed somewhere behind the dash I'm guessing. Was an ex fleet car and has 2 small screw holes for a radio that used to exist, some clumsy mechanic probably knocked something loose when it was being fitted. Meh only a glovebox.

oaky. did sum thinking back to when i did my g/box light. all the wiring is there all u need is the switch to activate it. in the tj u remove g/blave & liner. also remove the trim below the g/box. u should see a metal support running across the bottom(bottom screws of g/box screw into it) on the r/h side of this support is a threaded hole with rh or rhd stamped next to it & there should be a wire there somewhere with a buulet connector. thats th e wire that the switch plugs into. simply get a switch either from verada wreck etc. or maybe a universal switch and place in hole. refit everything and u should have g/box light. that wire may even be taped to a bigger loom from memory. hope it helps.

Lets put this thread back on topic.

I don't think it's ODBII complient. Have a search and you should find the answer.

Glove box lights only work when parking lights are on.

I did a search but found no info. If its not OBDII then what and where is it?

They are not OBDII compliant. I tried the hard way. Now, I have a obdII scanner tool hanging on my rear view mirror.
