Basically (I cbf'd finding a pic of an engine bay, circling the MAF sensor and hosting it so I'll just describe it), the Air flow sensor is pretty easy to identify in the engine bay. It is mounted directly behind the air filter box and can best be described as an oval section of pipe, approx 100mm in length, with a square plastic section on top of it. There is a wiring connection into the square plastic section.

Removing the MAF sensor is pretty simple. You will need to:
A) Unclip the two metal clips on top of the airbox, and slid the air filter element out (put down on a clean surface, or in a plastic bag)
B) Loosen off the hose clamp which connects the rear of the MAF sensor to the plastic 'elbow' piping which leads into the Throttle body
C) Disconnect the wiring connector from the top of the airflow sensor

Once these three things are done, you should simply be able to remove the airflow sensor, and the rear section of the airbox from the engine bay. Once removed - you will see 4 bolts connecting the MAF sensor to the rear section of the airbox - when undoing these bolts, care should be taken not to use too much torque, or the other end of the 'bolt' will round out the moulded plastic 'locking' section inside the airbox (hard to describe, but you'll see what I mean). Once you have it out - installation is the same in reverse.

The above is written presuming that the 2nd gen D has the same intake hardware as our Magnas, which AFAIK - it does.

If you need any more clarification just let me know.
