Ok, so this won't be to everyone's taste - but who cares.
I like it, my children love it (wife just looks at me and shakes her head :bowrofl: ).
Make: Drift (well that's what's on it anyway)
Material: Carbon Fibre (at least the top & sides - rest painted black)
Bolted to the rear wind deflector - nice & secure with Stainless Steel bolts & decent washers. ...and to my delight, that wind deflector is metal (not fibreglass).
Why? because I could, and because a 3rd gen Sports Wagon spoiler costs more than $1000 from Mitsu, you can't find one in the wreckers & because this one became available.
So if ya like it - Thank you.
If ya don't - then that's okay too - The world would be boring if all crayons were the same colour.
oh and by the way, it hardly cost me anything too :D

Don't post silly comments like this.
He already realised some people wont like it and accepted it. If he wasn't prepared to accept that then he wouldn't have posted.

i think you misst the point of his post killbilly, he was applying shame upon those who were laughing at the wing, i mean it does look a bit ricey and outta place but if he likes it, well so be it, like puck said, the world would be boring if crayons were all the same colour, imagine if we all drove a round in white commodre executives....... how exciting

I must say... it is sort of cute on the big bum of your wagon.
Noticed an increase in downforce? Cornering better at speed ofcourse?

honestly, i dont think it looks that bad.
from some angles it looks ok, others.....eh....
and yeah IMO it would look better if it was bolted to the roof and not the spoiler thing.
i swear if you smoothed your garnish out and color coded it cummins style that'd look Hawt.
me, i give it 5.5/10
o dear god..
First TR-Env loses his brain, now its happened to a 2nd gen wagon owner.
I would let you know my true feelings, but even i have to show some restraint..
Get rid of it.

No I didnt miss the point at all.
Grdpuck is smart enough and man enough to realise that people wont like it and will bag it out. He chooses to ignore than and move on like any smart person would. Yet there are people who have nothing to do with it that get cut up about it and try to defend it. It's pointless and annoying.
People will express their opinion like it or not, some people are smart enough to look past that and just move on.

i just dont now if i like it or not , i think it is to much for your car at this stage but as you progress and go with the flow it may look a lot nicer after you do more to the car , and i think it is a good start for insperation ,

it's only cause it's different ... you never see that sorta wing on a wagon and you'd just have to get used to it
no worse then putting something like that on a magna sedan even though a magna does'nt go that fast to produce any benefit from it people still put them on it
whatever floats your boat i reckon
dude if your happy with the wing stick with it and dont listen to what anyone else has to say ... at the end of the day they're just magna drivers

']you have a spoiler too.....FOR SHAME!!!!! HOW CAN YOU?It came on the car from factory like that.. and im removing it anyhow :)
GT wings + wagons = laugh city.
If he was going to put a wing on it, he should have put a wing on it like the new swifts..

I think it could actually look OK, if you replaced the stock spoiler rather than bolting this one to it. Dropping it down those few inches would give a nice flow straight from the roof onto the spoiler. Though you may need to add some slightly angled spacers to get the angle the way you want it.

I didnt realise it was bolted to the other spoiler..

I have to say its different but if you and family happy thats all then hey.
My mum and dad used to get laugh at years ago when they did up their cortina wagon. It had the bonnet scoop and full body kit and mags. the final piece they added was the rear wing. (same place as yours). Now at first i hated it but it grew on me and i liked it in the end as it was different. But i have to admit they didnt use the type of wing They used the standard wing from another car. This did however sit on the top of the rof as yours and it did look ok.
Each to their own i say. Cause if we all did that same then nothing would stand out..

Hahaha, mines getting removed soon bain ;). Does that mean i've got my brain back?
But that is much much worse than mine.
1)It looks terrible
2)Why bolt it to the existing spoiler?
3)It's your choice and if you like it, then so be it. Just warning you (i know from experience :)) that not many people will like it :).
But if i saw that in person, i think i'd just be in .

I've seen it in the flesh and it's a work of art.
This is truly a work of art...open for personal interpretation. Full marks to the artist for sharing his functional piece of art with us. Henry Moore would have been envious...

If I had done it I wouldnt of bolted it to the standard wing, but if you removed the standard wing 1) you would lose ur high level brake light 2) have 4 holes in the tailgate and 3) lose a decend mounting place. I like the look, but there's room for improvement. Heck with a set of parras, colour-coded bumpers and verada/se rear garnish, it would look got
i dont mind it. its original, the stocko wing would be better off .. kinda looks weird still on, but hey well done!!!

Oh god you can't be serious guys? No no no... please dont! Not wings ontop of wagons come on how about making your wagons look like this! Would pass as a 2nd gen legnum.

The "wing on a wagon" always makes things interesting. Glad you're brave and inventive enough to give it a shot.
Here's mine anyway... not quite 2nd Gen Legnum, but who knows what I could get it up to?

19-02-2006, 05:28 PM
WOW i like your wagon buzz! :D
All it needs is colour coded bumpers, verada grille and a set of paras and it'll be all set!
Buzz are those BBS wheels? ;)

heheh Dimi, good to see I got someone's attention
Decided to go for the "hearse" approach. The paras should be coming with the group buy, eyeing off Gen3 verada leather seats, colour coded bumpers in March, etc.
Just did the big repair with two driveshafts, timing chain, guides, valve stem seals, gaskets galore, fluids (brake, coolant, transmission, oils and of course, copious amounts of beer). Let's not hijack this thread shall we?
It's all about the wing! :bowrofl:

lol Nice ride! :)
Gotta see this when its done!
How much was this major *repair*? Sounds like what I need!
... And! How much did you get your BBS wheels for? Are they 16"? Or 17"?
