Just trying to get a sense of planning for my mod schedule here. Before I even consider cams ill be doing the exhaust and extractors.

Ive done some searches and come up with mixed feelings. Some people have put in just raliart cams and had troubles with excess noise etc, but on the other hand I read that RPW's Stage 1 cams dont need any other supporting mods and should just work fine, with a slightly rougher idel at worst.

So.. Cams, Yay or Nay? If not RPW, any other brand?

Experiences and sugestions apreciated.

I hope yay, cause I will be getting some soon. Money is set aside. God knows when they will get installed though. Anyone know anyone is Sydney who is familiar with this work?

not true actually, stage 1 cams suit 3 or 3.5 there is a dowl on the rear cam which is used to adjust the timing location to suit either, there are 2 grinds though one for automatic trans and one for manual trans

I was wondering the same thing........... at a guess, I'd say the auto cams are tuned for slightly better 'low end' torque/power in an attempt to comphensate for the crappy gear/final drive ratios?

First time Ive heard of there being two stage 1 grinds.

Well I've certainly had no problems with mine. They aren't aggressive enough to change your idle quality. I'd definately recommend an ECU mod to get the most out of them.

to suit the different transmissions, auto cams have more torque, manual cams suited for more up high power
