Hi all,

Looking for replacement locks for my TR, as some a**jockey tried to break in, and found a pair of locks with circular keys....like ones found on gaming machines.

Looking for any feedback on experiences with these 'universal' locking solutions.

Yeah they are pointless; the windows still remain the weakest point in any car. Beef up the locks, and they'll still jimmy the door or smash a window.

3M make a smash proof coating, With the Door Locks and some little pices of metal covering the linkages, will make it alot harder.

a really good window tint stops the window from shattering

Doesn't always stop it really...my drivers side window was smashed on christmas eve '04 and there was glass everywhere. Was a good tint job too. Even if it did stop it shattering...it's still broken and they can get in.

The point is to slow them down and make it harder/more noticable when they try to break in. That way, they'll try the car next to you that DOESN'T have good locks/alarms/immobilisers etc.
