Hi everyone, after selling my KS V6ei Verada a few months ago, I just picked up a KH V6xi last week. It presents very well inside and out, but what really shows the wear are the leather seats.

While the rear bench and the four door trims are OK, the front seats (especially the driver's seats) really shows the dirt - black marks caught inside the grain of the leather. It is also starting to show fraying in some places.

I was thinking of how much it would cost to re-trim the car in velour, and whether anyone knew any good places in Brisbane to go to.

Thanks
Justin

Just re trim your two front seats if the rear is ok. Might be cheaper instead of doing the whole lot. Get some quotes from trimmers and decide from there.

Ideally a motor trimmer is the place to go for it. They dont need to be stitched on all they need is for u to remove your existing clips off your seats that hold the seat cover down and slide these ones on. Not really that hard.

To retrim in velour isn't much cheaper then leather, I got quoted $4500 for a full velour retrim in black on my wife's VK Calais, for black leather/velour/vinyl it was about $5000. The problem with velour is it marks even easier then leather and doesn't last as long. Give your leather a really good clean and feed every so often and wipe over it once a week with a damp cloth. Although the leather used the the Veradas is pretty average, I used to call it Amercian spec leather. Compared to even a cheaper Euro car, VW, the leather is too shiny, slippery and hard.
If you really want to ditch the leather, try and find a Verada EI interior, KJ would be the one to go for as they have electric driver's seat. I would swap but I've got a wagon, and would want the back seat as well.
