hey guys,
quick question someone might kno the answer to,
with the center console bit, the peice around the gear shaft thingy mabobby, do the auto's ahve the same size hole as the manuals??
i doubt they would, its just that i will prolly be able to find an auto one easier then a manual one.

I think you may be in luck and they are the same. My old TE looks a very similar size hole to my TL.

Yes they are the same console. The auto ones even come with the mouldings for the screws for the shift boot surround

cool, thanxs for that guys, now, another problem. does any one know where i will be able to find a wreckers that have some 3rd gen magna's. i went to my local pick a part this arvo but they dont have ne.
are they are mitsubishi wreckers that people have used in the past that they know have some 3rd gens. any help would be great. oh, i live in Ferntree Gully (vic) so any where sorta close will be great.

hey myself and others vic members use Imlachs in clayton. tey have all the parts u need and sumtines a bit pricey but that jus depands on wat u want coz u dun see a smashed up magna everyday. they are in the yellow pages. jus go to www.yellowpages.com.au and they have the number. also try www.imlachs.com.au.

thanxs for that mate, i will go and check it out and see what i can muster up. cant wait to do it, the center console looks $million Bucks$ when it is white i reckon, ties in so well when there are a lot of white accents like door inserts.

have a look on ebay.. theres a whole lotta console peices there for a TF i just picked up the ashtray.. :bouncin: ask they guy if u can get the inividual parts u want and go from there... im not sure if its a good idea i post the link.. so ill pm it to you if u want it.. it only has a day or so left.. so be quick if this suits.

look up jolly rogers in dandee he always has 3rd gens and not bad prices i come all the way from werribee to go there.

ok i figured out how the bottom piece of the console ( the one around the gear stick) but how do you get the top three out.

hey, i got some of that tamyia paint stuff 2day. when i got home i tested it on an icecream container coz thats tyhe only plastic thing i ould find. after it was dry i played with it to see how well it stuck and it all just peeled off. when i paint the console (hopefully 2nite) do i just use primer on the bottom to make the paint stick??
