I got mine a month ago and I'm pritty much in love with it :P
only thing it really needs is an exhaust and it's a pritty sweet car
drives nicely.. plenty of power .. had my car in 5th over taking roadtrains on the highway and it just wanted to keep going..
but yeah
very happy with the car and I recommend it

welcome to the forum....

you almost have the same nickname as another member on the forum...

tj vrx s2 is a great car to buy... basically you have everything you need there. AND ITS A MANUAL.. bonus!

the vrx already has a tasteful kit on it along with the s2 rims... if you dont want them, you can sell them for roughly 1K including rubber.

performance wise, its a great car.. acceleration will def impress you when you drive it for the first time. esp going from 2nd to 3rd. with the sports and vrx's, suspension is alittle lower.. so its not too "floaty" and can handle corners alright...

its really all comes down to you test driving the car. if your looking at gaining big kw's in the future, it may not be your cup of tea, once you find out how much you have to put in from your pocket....

Overall with minor mods such as lowered suspension, intake and exhaust mods, you'll have a def 14.7 car down the 1/4 mile....

lol yeah i noticed someone else has my prefered name :P

but yeah im not really into big power driving my current car (soarer) ive come to accept
power=$$$ but aside from basic mods and suspension and stereo im not gonna do too much to it

pretty much its the kit and the rims that made me fall in love with the car when i first saw one years ago but ill need to go for a test drive to see how they go ive been in my friends th sports and that takes off rather well in my eyes so if this one is any better thatll be a bonus

I purchased a s2 tj vrx 2 months ago. Its an impressive car in most aspects as you have seen and heard. I love it and will keep it until it dies. The only negs i have with it is the seats aren't to my liking....hard to find a good driving position for my dodgy back! Also ditch the standard stereo.... its pretty crappy..
In all........its a perfect allround car that will keep a smile on your face!!!

also is anyone able to tell me the specs of the car as stock or give me a link or anytihng ive tried searching but for probably the wrong thing

Hey dude. Nice choice of name. It's good to see there are others out there with such good taste lol

What kind of specs are you after in particular? Performance wise you're looking at 163kW at the flywheel at somewhere around 5400rpm, with peak torque hitting 317Nm at about 4200rpm (the rpm figures are close but probably wrong). Quoted performance times are about 7.0s 0-100 with a flat 15s quarter mile, however there are cars on here that are stock or near stock that have run a faster quarter mile.

Your friend's TH sports is lighter but has less power too. They will probably be similar to drive while stock.

Manuals? As in the member Manual? He never had a TJ.

Handling is better than you might expect for a big FWD. Take one for a test drive and leave the salesman behind :) It's the only way you'll find out for sure if you like it. The VR-X and Sports come with both front and rear sway bars which I believe is a big step up in handling from the cooking models.

Lowered (and stiffer) springs really flatten things out through sweeping corners, and a strut brace does wonders for turn-in.

But hey, it's no BMW or MX-5, right?

Expect understeer if you try and power through a corner.

Manuals? As in the member Manual? He never had a TJ.TH Exec wasn't it? And wasn't his 14.7 run with the 70mm t/b, extractors and chip?

Anyway.. stacky has run a 14.6 with just extractors in a TJ sports.
