anyone know how to take advantage of pulp fuel ?
i know its meant to be beneficial for cleaning purposes, but is there any way to perhaps retart the ignition timing to take advantage of higher octane fuel ?
new cam gears or something ?
all replies are appreciated

to take advantage of it you'll need to advance the timing a little.

Oh sorry..I pressed submit before I finished.
There are different ways to do it...
Apparently (im not 100% sure) you can advance it by twisting the dizzy, I dont know how this is done though.
Im not sure of the other ways but they usually involve a mechanic lol

If you advance to use pulp and go back to normal there is a high chance you will get pre detonation, pinging etc.
If you tune to 98 ron..use only 98 or higher, since there is no higher, stick to 98

i think u will have to use pulp, or maybe regular unleaded with some octane booster perhaps,... .hopefully mitsiman sees this thread and can shed some light on it

I thought that it might be worth while to point out that AVGAS is a Lead based fuel and will stuff your cat and your oxy sensor. If you are looking for a better fuel then run one of the ELF racing fuel. They can be bought from Revolution Racegear and other places like that. The prefered one for street cars is the ELF 103 octane. I am pretty sure this is the stuff that BEn used when he did the high HP run on Booya.
Cheers
Paul
