Hiyu all

I just got a general question about "Radius Bushes" on 3rd gen magnas/veradas, and that is - what is thier job? - what purpose do they serve? - I ask this as I have a steering issue with my car, and i have Pedders saying that one of my probs is the radias bushes are excessivly worn - and Mitsu seem to think they are ok and should last the 200,000km (car has done 81500km)- the other issues are the shockies are 40% worn and my tyres are wearing too "square", (according to Mitsu....we tried different tyres off another car, same brand tyres and it helped a little bit) - all resulting in too much feedback coming back through the steering wheel, and the car keeps shifting direction basically following the contours of the road, requiring too much effort to keep the car on the road.

I am curius as i have never heard of these bushes and i am keen to know more about what they do, and what effects could be expected by worn out radius bushes

any help would be appreciated!!

thanks magna buff!.....now i feel a whole lot better!!..... :doubt:

I do not know for sure if the car has been in an accident before - all the panels and door shut lines are even - cant see any obvious signs of major accident repairs - having said that however i did notice only a few days after buying the car - it has had a complete respray - I cant think of any other reason why a 5 year old car would have a complete paint job done!!!

my thoughs have always been in the steering pump pressure area - but as i have no knowledge of how power steering works - i cant be sure, it just seems to me that the power steering inst providing enough "resistance" to the forces being placed on the front end....i dunno....
