Heya Everyone. Finally joined the forums even though i've read through them a fair bit of late. From WA and bought myself a Magna verging on a couple years back so better introduce the car too :)...

Manga AWD Sports 2003 Pewter (45k on clock)
coming up to end of its new car warranty now

I'll get some pics up when i get a decent camera..

Anyway the point to this post is i'm now looking into getting new rims as my tyres need replacing so its the best time to upgrade the rims while i can. I think i've decided on some ANZ Venom 2 wheels in hyper black (what is with that colour nameż) in 18x8. Now i'm just looking for a decent price.

Any recommendations for places i can look up for ANZ wheels. I've been to the lage stores most of which are calling me back tomorrow with a price and Mr Mag online seem to have them too. I find it amusing ANZwheels.com.au which they advertise on their brochure left right and center doesn't work.

Any other recommendations would be appreciated. Anyone had any problem with steering 18x8 in a sports TJ2? I wouldn't mind getting the rims rolled out but thats jsut for asthetics :)

Welcome to AMC mate..

Umm.. I believe that you can't fit 18s to the AWD Magna's.. Not 100% sure.. But I think this topic has been covered before! It's something to do with brakes or something.. Don't quote me.. but I'm pretty sure!

Use the search function.. you're bound to find something..

I have 18x8s on my FWD 02 exec it handles great havnt had any problems with it handles much better and sticks to the road a lot more. Also dont lose all the power off the line with the lil 15s rolling around a lot. Im not sure bout your model but just so ya know its fine on mine.
Cheers,
Dean

I have 17x7.5 with 235/35 on my AWD, no problems at all. Just make sure the offset is ok.

Can't seem to find anything about AWD having tyre issues but i'll keep looking.

i'm not sure there "should" be any difference to what tyres/rims can go on a AWD versus FWD but i'll definitely have to have a look into it.

Thanks Matt, Good to hear. It will be the width that would be more an issue than the diameter and i'll be going 8" most likely and if your 7.5" are fine i'm pretty sure 8 would be cool.

What did you mean by offset though?

Seems those tyres i liked won't fit a magna stud pattern.

So back to the drawing board. Managed to get a heap of brochures from the places i went to today.
