Hi all,
TR Magna running rough, cleaned throttle body, checked injectors, reset timing, new oil, oil filter, spark plugs, air filter, fuel filter, fuel pressure good and even spent the extra on 98 octane with no improvement.
Next checks are TPS, O2 sensor, MAF and Air Temp sensor.....Any others I should be looking at?
If so....how do I test them all?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Munky
Can you tell I need a service manual? :doubt:

Rough as in missing rough or vibration rough ?
If the latter look at your balance shaft and seals, astrons are cronic for it :/

You checked the plugs but not the leads, i don't know about Magnas but in Commodores dodgy leads cause soooo much trouble.
Also if it has a coil pack or Magna Equivalent of a holden coil pack check that!
Sorry its vauge but im good with Commodores lol iv'e only had the Magna 1 week. :)

yeah mate leads are a major problem hey to test them have the car running and remove one at a time from spark plug. if it idles rougher put it back thats fine and move on til u find one which makes no difference... thats ur culprit.

Instead of throwin even more money in parts that arent fixing the problem you ever thought about taking it to a mechanic to hook a scan tool up to the thing and get any codes that may be stored as to why its running rough?
Should only cost 20 bucks or so and will give you a much better idea as to whats wrong... or could also be a complete waste of money if its something like a throttle cable/idle screw adjustment thats needed.
