occasionally, around 50% of the time, when i turn my car on, the aircon swtiches on, but the fan doesent until about 5mins later..

ive checked all my fuses and replaced the ones that even look slightly suss...anyone got any ideas?

do you mean the dash fan or the thermo fan??

most likely the dash fan, as i can still hear a fan whirring away in the engine bay

well mine dont work full stop.. Ac comp packed it in last wed and this weather is killing me in a black car all day with long pants and sleeves.. hopefully fixed buy end of this week..


Id say its a lazy fan.. if it was a fuse it woulnt work at all..:D

Hahaha nah i think you just have to replace them.. they do that sometimes.. its just the motors.. dont know if you can fix..:D

dude i've had major probs with my relays in my tr... under engine bay in black fuse box...near battery... the silver thingies just try swapping them round coz i've had 3 go stupid and they only work wen they wan2

No he is saying to check the relays.. the big black ones.. find one thats teh same and swap it around with it.. see if fan works better than..:)

Hello SideWinder,

There are TWO relays for the blower motor on a 1st generation (2nd) Diamante. One near/under the blower motor and one near the fuse box inside the car. The blower motor for the air is behind the glove box on a Diamante.

excellent, thanks for the help people, will try this as soon as i can afford to replace the realy to try it out

or would i be able to test it with my horn relay, if it works, then switch it back

(working horn > working aircon fan)
