can someone with a unleaded carby tell he how the fuel lines are connected?

at the moment i have all the leaded bits... so i have a mechanical fuel pump... but when i replace my fuel tank, it will be with a unleaded carby - so i'll have an electric tank... now i just assume that the fuel line will go to the filter, and then to the carby... return and vaour/charcol canister lines will stay the same.

can anyone confirm this?

thanks
Bill

I dunno if the unleaded carb jobs use electric (low pressure) fuel pumps or not. I would have thort they were mechanical as well.

The fuel injected cars use a higher pressure fuel pump 4 the injectors so be careful you have the right pump. The inj pump will flood out the carb big time.

Everything else should be exactly as you said. Sounds like you're on the right track mate.:D

I've got the TM and TP manuals if you need anything scanned for info. Always glad to help.:)

yeah, i've seen some carby models with a electric fuel pump... i even have the wiring for it in my TM, yet i have a mechanical pump.

i also have reason to believe that the EFI and carby fuel pumps are the same, the carbys had a release valve - this is internal in the tank as well

the carby and injected pumps are diffrent, and even look diffrent depending on the model, and u can still use whatever carby with whatever pump setup u like, its just the unleaded tanks need the electric pump
