In regards to your question; I can't comment 100% on what is il/legal in other states, but I'd be very surprised if parabolic headlights were defectable (providing ADR compliant bulbs were fitted, and the lenses weren't damaged) in any state considering they came as standard equipment on the 2nd Gen Verada models sold in Australia.

Provided they can be fitted with a parker light (I think even 2nd gen Veradas had 'in bumper' parkers) - then there should be no problem whatsoever.

No doubt someone will correct me if the information above is inaccurate.

The KR veradas did, but they also had standard headlights. The KS parabolics have parker bulbs in them, and are fully legal, since they are an OEM part. Only trouble with them is they can be pricey, but having said that, i sold mine for $300....not too bad considering the upgrade in lighting from standard headlights was great
