hey guys i just had pics up before on my engine, with the stage 2 cam and port and polish, well i put my engine in the car and it wont start, at first i tried changing the plugs around even went through 3 batteries 2 of them are farm and truck ones, it just wont run, the car turns over, and it gets so close to running but it puffs out smoke, i checed the timing as well and its all TDC, im wondering if i have to advance the timing or nething cause of the cam?

timing should be before tdc by around 10 - 15 degrees. Get someone to turn her over while you slowly move the distributer around. Once she starts move it slightly till it runs smooth and then set your timing with the timing light.:)

If you dont got 1 set it to a point that gives you about 3/4 of the highest rev point you can find by moving the dizzie and then get it to someone with a timing light.:D

dude ur ecu is not setup to take the cam u will be hard pressed to get it to start u may need an aftermarket or chip.

No I don't think that this would be the problem, cos it should still start. It may run ****e, but it should still start. I know this sounds stupid, but are you using the same rockers as you were using before. Cos when I got my new head the rockers that they sent with it weren't roller rockers so we had to send it back:rant: Anyhow that would poss cause that problem.

1 check compresion

2 check for spark

3 check for fuel

4 check timing

hahah its all good, turns out the distributor timing was out by 180 degrees, she turned over fine after i changed that, it runs rough but i was told to expect that with the cam and lower compression, now its up to the performance place for the turbo and other bits an peices

not much audio atm, just kiker solobarik L7 10 inch, with amp and ported box, thats about the only thing atm, probably with do 4x splits with deck and 4 ch amp, but im not to fussed about audio, im consentrating on how the car goes, it will be up 4 sale after 2 weeks of completion, i might separate the cam head and turbo kit from the car, and even the custom bodykit, i will see how it goes.

i think he meant audio of the car as in what it sounds like not what car audio you have
