I had the same problem when I bought my TJ vrx.
Well first things first, you have to buy black and that's that. Looks the hottest! lol
Choosing the car will be your next problem...
TL is the smarter buy, it's a better and newer car
The TJ is the car u buy with your heart, it's hot and will always look a million times better than the TL. It's cheaper too :)
Do a search on TJ and TL VRX's on here, this may help you to decide.
Not sure which ones lightest...but for performance you'll be wanting that.
If you prefer options, I'm guessing the TL/W would be better.
Personally I think the TJ is the smarter buy, cheaper, virtually the same mechanicals, and somebody else has taken the depreciation hit.

TJ series 2 without a doubt - I personally feel that you can see a bit of cost cutting in the TL and TW series.
If you can find a nice TJ with relatively low km's I'd go for that. I own a TL but would swap for TJ looks any day of the week.

Can you pls backup the above statement.
I would personally like to know where this "cost cutting" occured

I can certainly feel it in dads TW VRX, but, to be fair its probably to the same extent as his previous TJ Sports.....

TJ SII, if you can find one with low ks and good nic, as someone mention before, someone else (like myself) has suffer the dropping value and they look god damn sexy!

I'd definitely go for the TL/W as the TJ is going to age quicker and you can pick up 05
TL's rather cheap if you shop around.

I would go with the TL, nicer to drive. Better steering, stiffer structure, safer vehicle. However I still like the look of a TJ VRX in the right colour.

TW preferable the colour coded front light surround makes a big difference over the TL, and the TL/TW lights, although hard to get used to, grow on you, and in the long run will age better than the TJ.

they mean it looks more modern. After all the 2003 model TJ is still very similar looking to the 1996 TE. While the TL shares the same body as well, its remodeled front and rear definetely differentiates itself from the look of the TJ. So it looks newer basically...

well yeh, i was mostly talking about the front :P
Although the TW VRX rear looks way hot and I dont think could be confused with a TJ rear...
