Well, Anthony came through with the springs and brace - both of which were installed on Thursday - here are some pics I took this morning after a quick wash... just waiting for the springs to settle - hopefully more at the back as it is actually higher than the front now, despite having lovells superlows front & rear.... Ride has not been compromised at all but it handles oh so much better! Highly recommended!

Cheers!

That's really pleasing to the eye mate well done! Let us know how much it cost if you don't mind, I'm still sussing out springs + insurance regarding them.

Two little things to pick your brain - did you install new shocks? Have you noticed any difference in braking, someone mentionted the EBD sensor gets upset if you lower late 3rd gens but it doesn't seem to be an issue?

PIMP!
did you do it or did you get it done?
at school we undid the fronts on my car, much to the dismay that we didnt have a spring compressor:doubt:
so we had to put them back on and do the springs and shocks next week:doubt:
i hope it handles alot better too:)
looking very nice dood...nothing like a lowered car!

Springs from Anthony - $240 + $18 to my door in SYD
Installed for $150 by mechanic mate
$60 wheel alignment - (mate could not fit on his machine)

Retained the shocks - after reading up on it on this forum decided to keep the 'standard' (ralliart / vr&vrx le) konis. No issues as yet with either the ride or braking.

Insurance-wise I'm 24 with AAMI

My one allowed modification (standard with policy)
Strut brace an "accessory" not a mod therefore ok

No change in premium

Hope this answers your queries - let me know if you need more

Incidentally my mate who installed them could not believe how good the car was - even pre-superlows..... he was originally skeptical of my decision to spend circa 30k on a Magna but he was literally gob smacked - could believe how well it handled and how quick it was while still feeling so refined.... I feel like Methuselah with all these conversions! Mostly with falcadore fans too!

Cheers all

why is the back higher than the front if they're superlows all round, it should be the other way around, just wondering because i plan to get the same springs as yours except i was going to go s/lows front and lows rear but now i am confused... again. are any of the springs compressed?

No - none of the springs are compressed - I don't know the reasion - and neither did my mate who installed them - does anyone have any ideas why this is?

Like I said I'm hoping there's more "settling room" in the rear than the front...we shall see....

If only I had more than a cricket bag to weigh down the back!
