without being an expert the general concensis seems to be go for the largest one so if u wanna upgrade to more amps or wateva u dont have to re run the wires,

so id go for the 4ga or the 2ga even

get 4ga to allow for upgrades later on.
if you're going to be serious get 2ga, or just be done with it and go 0ga :P

well then maybe 4Ga i think, might amp the speakers but not really going anything more than single sub and amped speakers. so 4Ga should be ok, i had a look at 0Ga if i ran that down the side of my car it would lean over its massive.

i ran 0guage through mine and it actually runs through the car pretty easy

What is the max current draw (add up the fuses on the amp)

Wire Gauge - Fuse Size
2/0 gauge - 430 amps
0 gauge - 345 amps
1 gauge - 265 amps
2 gauge - 215 amps
4 gauge - 135 amps
6 gauge - 80 amps
8 gauge - 55 amps
10 gauge - 30 amps
12 gauge - 20 amps
14 gauge - 15 amps
16 gauge - 7.5 amps

Bigger is better.

Fuse near the battery fuse size should be equal or less than the max current draw of all the amplifiers on that power line.

Sounds like a plan...

fyi Jaycar sells 2 gauge. But 4 ga should suffice
