Hi from Vancouver, Canada !

I have a 1974 Galant with a 4G54 that has been de-stroked to 2393cc by swapping in a G52 crankshaft. The car was built into a rally car back in 1987, and I've had it since 2004.

It's never made great power, although it was no slug !

It's set up with dual weber 48 IDF's on a custom made downdraft manifold and has a full header with only a glass pack for a muffler.

It rev's to 7500 - 8000 rpm with the stock tired camshaft.

It has an 8 valve head with big valves and mechanical lifters.

I'm having a heck of a time finding someone who knows much about the normally aspirated version of the 4G54 motor for specific rally use... at least on my end of the Pacific Ocean.

Is there anyone who can suggest a company or a person that I can talk to about camshaft grinds for my motor in your part of the world, that is rally knowledgable ?

Thanks !

Yep very very familiar with these engines run a drag car n/a engine nearly the same specs with side draught 55mm webers (No that is not a misprint honest 55mm webers race only) revved to 9000 rpm (Nearly died the first time it did this at the burnout pad)

Cams wise got a heap of options for sure also options to upgrade to some roller rocker setup as well for even better all round performance.
