Hi All,

I have an '88 mitsu colt, speedo is out by a fair bit. Basically I have to do 50km/h in a 60 zone, to stay with other cars.. other cars are probably doing a little over 60 as well..

considering its a cable speedo system, is there anything I can do to adjust the speedo? The tyres have changed spec slightly, but even my sig isnt out with 205/40's on it, the colts are only like 185/50's i think.

strange thing is, when i went through the speed check on the way to victoria, I did 95km/h on the speedo came through on the check at 104km/h.. seems to be around 10km out across the range. Is it worth just moving the needle a bit?

Cheers all..

Tim.

Yeah you'll find a pro can either recal the speedo or change the drive gear on the end of the speedo cable (easy job) to fix the problem:D

yeah believe it or not nail polish is handy for if u get a lil stone chip back to metal, stick some similiar coloured nail polish on so it doesnt get air to it and start to rust before u can touch up paint it/.
