After doing some searching on AMC I could only find the console removal with pictures for 3rd gens. All the 2nd gen removal tutorials/instructions were in writing. Does anyone know if there's a tutorial which includes pictures? I just makes things easier I guess.

now to remove console, it really is easy, what do you actually want to get to though?
re-route dash speaker wire? take out HU?
to get to the HU there is 2 screws under the coin box
2 screws on either side of the centre console - you will see these from the back seats
take out console
then there is 2 screws holing the facia in, remove them
2 screws holding the air con cluster surround in (you will feel and see the holes if you tilt your head a little either side)
and yeah...comes right out

makes no sense sorta but whatever screw you see, take out:)

I will create another webpage (for 2nd gens) on how to remove the centre console. Its pretty easy.

Haynes manual has this in depth. If you dont want to fork out the $40 (though its soooo worth it), go to your local library and spend 50c photochopying the pages (what i did lol).

That pdf is huge, but I found what I was after. I haven't got my sound equipment yet, but i'm bored so I just wanted to check everything out. Thanks for the pdf TUFFTR I will hang onto it.
