RMS on these would be about 100-120W.....

Earthquake build their stuff to absorb large amounts of power. Some of their higher end subs are very good.

If you are looking to go loud, stick with Hertz. Just as loud, much better SQ, but less juice needed to power them to the same volume.

What are these things going for dollar wise? $300? $350?

600 AED = 160 USD:D
Dubai, its tax free:cool:
that's why i think it is good catch for such a price + 6 month warranty.
by the way, that's 186 australlian dollas

so they aren't that good:confused:???

The problem is i live in another continent so it's difficult to find the stuff that you mostly use. so i asking you about what's available.

I will agree with Johno.... they LOOK crappy....but that does't tell me how they sound

You should be able to get 'The stuff we use" as most of them are full international brands. Check the websites, they should list the distributors in your area or country.

But a pair of splits for AU$186 (add our GST - at 10%) and you have a round figure of $200.

Definitely worth looking at, but if you can go up one model, that would be a bit better. Often the 2nd base model is the best to go for, just built that bit better.

Standard advice about speakers: go out and have a listen to them. Are they pleasing you your ear? Does the sound make your ears fatiuged after a while? Is the tweeter too harsh? Is the mid-bass clear?

Take a CD or two of music you know very well and listen to them closely.

their tweeters are way way way too bright even with the tweeter settings on the lowest,

sound quality is also questionable for that price.

But very loud
