hey fellas,
I need to get the power cable from the battery to the amp under the passenger's seat, although I have no idea how to put the cable through to the cabin. (from the bonnet into the car)

Any ideas please?

there should be a gromment in the engine bay, might be on the passengers side on your car?
i have a 2nd gen , and mine is located on the drivers side, you will see a wire poking out of it, simple just poke your wire through there:)

ill leave a 3rd gen'r to answer this in full, but as i said, there should be a rubber grommet in the engine bay

Don't forget to use the search feature and have a look in the 3rd gen FAQ :)

It's very easy to spot from the driver's side footwell. Towards the left of where the clutch pedal would be. Poke through it with a chopstick or screwdriver so you can see exactly where it is in the engine bay.

I routed mine through the passenger side in my 2000 TJ wagon (3rd gen).

Took off the passenger scuff plate, and pulled back the carpet. Took out the rear section of the inner plastic guard on the front left wheel. There was a grommet that blocked a hole from inside the wheel arch- to the engine bay (In the engine bay it was between the back of the strut tower/and the firewall), and a grommet that blocked a hole from inside the wheel arch to inside the cabin (on the inside of the upright). Took them out, drilled a hole to suit(in either grommet), run the cable through it( theres a small wire that runs along its own plastic channel, I slipped the pwr cable through under the tape for this wire, its so it doesnt rub on the metal ridge thats there), back together- and SWEET! Have the amp under the passenger seat, all cables under the carpet, looks all neat :)

Cheers,

Steve

I would recomend running the wire through the firewall, all you have to do is just poke it through!
